The farm was built with old stones and oak beams. A thatched roof was chosen in combination with red recuperated roof tiles. More rural is hardly possible.
Inside, to keep it spacious and quiet, only 2 types of floors were chosen. But of the indestructible kind. Belgian bluestone and French oak. The perfect combination because these 2 floors are natural products, hard, and therefore indestructible. They become more beautiful the more they are used.
Inside, the many doors and cupboards are made of the same rustic oak as on the floor.
The farmhouse was decorated in a modern way.
It was possible to perfectly combine the present with the past.
