Pickup- and delivery terms

Here below 10 points of attention

  1. Did you choose “pick up”? Then we ask you to call about 1 week before your arrival. Pickup is possible from Tuesday to Friday from 08.30 to 16.30 hours.
    Please take into account the sizes and weight of the order we’ve packed. By coming with appropriate transportation we don’t have to charge extra costs such as unpacking and repacking the materials. You also avoid damage to your car or your purchased materials.
  2. Have you chosen “delivery“? Then call off the order at least 2 weeks in advance.
    At delivery the goods will be unloaded next to the car by the Achterhuis driver.
    If transport is outsourced to a third party, the unloading options will be discussed with the planner.
  3. Any change to the order (incl. amount, delivery time etc.) is only valid after both parties have confirmed it in writing.
  4. If the original delivery time is postponed, the total amount becomes due. One can then make use of our free storage service, up to a maximum of 1 year.
  5. The following payment options are available:
    a. By PIN or cash on collection/pick up. Cash is not preferred.
    b. Bank transfer; the payment needs to be visibly credited before the time of pickup or delivery. Our advice is to make the payment at least 3 working days in advance.
    c. Cash to the driver of ’t Achterhuis. Again, this is not preferred and is not possible when delivered by a third party.
  6. The materials are antique, rustic, reclaimed or aged and therefore used / lived; i.e. pieces may or even must have come off and planks or tiles may show differences.
    In Belgian bluestone fossils, white and black veins occur. If you want to limit this, it is advisable to order 15% extra so that you can make your own selection during installation.
    With wooden floors it’s important to have a stable humidity and temperature in the room. We’re not responsible for any working/movement of wood due to fluctuating humidity. Rustic wooden floors show cracks and knots. If you want to minimize this it’s advisable to order 15% extra so that you can make your own selection during processing.   7. To avoid misunderstandings, we ask that you check the order within 24 hours of receipt for any visible defects such as amount, color etc. Any remarks should be communicated by email within 24 hours after delivery. Processing/installation of materials is considered approval of color and quality by all parties involved. We’re not liable after installation.
  8. Drawings/blueprints regarding quantities to be ordered will be measured by us on request but the final responsibility remains with the client. Materials ordered in excess will not be taken back.
  9. Prices of tiles are per installation- m². This means we have taken into account a corresponding joint-width (usually 5 or 10mm). This depends on the type of tiles.
